Stone was walking through one of the fields on the outskirts of town, his dog Striker at his side. He has the leash in his hand loosely, he figured he'd let Striker off once they got to the field. After a few more minutes of walking, they got there. He glanced around for a moment, making sure no one else was there, no one that he could see at least, and then unhooked the leash from Striker's collar. The dog ran a few steps ahead, tail wagging vigoriously. Stone grinned softly, laughing a little at the dogs antics. Picking up a stick off the ground, he threw it across the dog for the dog to go get. Striker immediately ran after it, bringing the stick back once he had it in his mouth. Stone sighed a little under his breath, not really wanting to stand here and play fetch with the dog for hours. But he threw the stick again anyway. Sitting down on the grass after a few minutes of playing fetch, he whistled softly and the dog came running back. Smiling a little, he patted the dog quickly on his head. Striker lay down next to him, panting softly. Stone didn't plan on doing much at the field today, he just needed some time to wind down after getting to the stable and everything. Stone didn't mind being at the stable too much, since he did have a love of horses, but he wasn't exactly ecstatic about it. Thinking about how things would go here, he didn't even notice if another person showed up or not. |

PlottingPreachingThe sight
Large paws and small boots plodded softly along as the wind brought the scent of rain. The girls long brown hair was pulled back into a ponytail and swayed with every step she took. The massive black beast beside her lolled his pink tongue as he walked obediently beside her. The day had an especially sharp chill to it as they walked along together, a kind hearted master, and the protective brute. Her brown eyes looked around them at the large open field before them. She thought silently as she absent mindedly played with the thick lead rope she used to walk Teras. A simple leash wouldn’t do if he set his mind to chasing something it would snap very easily. One hundred and forty pounds of dog muscle pulling full force on a thin strip of cloth wouldn’t do. The shiny silver clip was attached to a thick studded leather collar, equally as strong as the lead rope.
Suddenly his ragged, short cropped ears twitched and he stopped walking. Kaite instantly went on high alert; her sharp brown eyes searched the area but they found nothing. Teras looked up at her with his big soulful yellow eyes then back at the spot he had first indicated as if asking to go over there. Moving slowly toward the spot she suddenly could see over the grass. I boy about her age was laying with a dog. Teras’s thick tail stung her leg as he wagged it with excitement. Her sweet voice carefully left her pretty mouth, “I hope I didn’t sneak up on you, and I hope your dog is ok with mine being here…” Her voice trailed away as she watched his reaction.
