FLASHBACK:
JULY 4th 1973
All the camp staff gathered at the McClaine house for the annual 4th of July party. John and Nina hosted this party every single year since 1965, when John had taken over the position of camp director, at Camp Tamakwaa in Tamakwaa, Michigan. Tonight, wasn't really an out of the ordinary night, other than the storm outside which worsened during the party.
The McClaine's had just sent their children to bed, they had two, a little boy-John,Jr. and a teenage girl named Mary. Mary went willingly, she wasn't ever a bad kid. But little John protested. And then fumed when his parents made him go anyway.
Around midnight, it happened. Most of the adults had either left, or passed out drunk and would have been unable to stop what was about to happen. Little John crept quietly through the house, and in one night, he single handedly killed every adult that remained.
Somewhere in the early morning hours, his sister woke, and found him sitting in the kitchen in a puddle of blood, rocking back and forth, with his chin to his knees. She kept trying to get him to tell her who'd done it, who'd killed all the adults, but he didn't speak.
He never spoke again. Mary, being eighteen at the time, feared being placed in social services, and figured she was old enough to care for her brother. She moved them to a new place, and she started their new lives. She began to suspect that something was off with her little brother, but she kept ignoring it, and began to keep him away from the public, homeschooling him and taking care of him as well as she could.
She said she'd NEVER go back to Camp Tamakwaa.
That doesn't mean that little John didn't go back. In 1984, some local teens were dared to stay a night in the "cabin of blood". They were never seen again. Several townspeople won't swear to it, but won't deny that they saw a 1979 Pontiac sitting outside the cabin, that didn't belong to the kids that went missing that night.
(Present day, 2011)
The camp is being reopened, by Mary Smythe (daughter of the slain camp director and his wife) and she's only back for one reason. To find out who in the town of Tamakwaa, Michigan killed her parents. She has no idea it was her brother, and she has no idea that they weren't the first people he killed that summer. People in town suspect it, but NOONE dares say it out loud.
Mary Smythe arrived back in Tamakwaa, and she began to clean up and revamp the camp, to draw in a bigger crowd. The locals tried to warn her that doing this might not be the best idea, but she didn't listen.
Now that some hikers from town have began to come up missing, the locals are starting to whisper again.
The campers are arriving, and with so many young victims in one place, is this small town really safe? Join and find out.
