OVERALLElle is one who could easily be the belle of the ball, that beautiful girl everyone loves to hate. She's gorgeous, with big expressive blue eyes, blond hair and full lips. Her nose is a bit broad, but it works for her softer features. Her cheekbones aren't particularly defined, but she's elegant in her own way. A way that some mistaken fools would call innocent, but certainly not childlike. Although she doesn't appear too much older than she is without makeup, she certainly doesn't look much younger either. Perhaps part of this stems from her attitude, her clothing choice, her hair, but one can never be too sure, so it isn't really safe to say why this is. It is far better to just accept the fact. As for her hair, it curls a bit, though it's a rather gentle curl. The longest strands fall a few inches below her shoulders and her bangs are a few inches shorter than this and swept off to either side; they are still discernible, but barely.
Her body is slim, toned with lean muscle from riding, though you'd never know it until proven. She's got it all; a well proportioned body, nice legs that are a little on the longer side, smooth skin. It's enough to make pretty much anyone jealous, particularly since it's all natural. She has the money to change it if she wants, but why mess with a good thing, right?
When it comes to what she wears, almost all of her shirts are skin tight, hugging her form nicely. She's more of a fan of the darker colors like black and deep purple, but she doesn't shy away from the lighter shades too much. She just finds the darker ones have cooler designs. Most of her shirts are, in fact, t-shirts with some sort of print on them, often with a bit of grunge to the image or something like that. Jeans or jodhpurs are a must when not in a dress, and she's not afraid to walk around the mall in either. If she's just come from riding, you'll definitely see her walking around like she owns the place complete with riding pants and tall boots. Her shoes consist of combat boots, mostly, with a few pairs of black sneakers thrown in for good measure and the obvious riding boots. She's got a few pairs of heels stashed away for the appropriate occasions. She's usually not seen without a bit of jewelry, from the studs in her ears (occasionally replaced with dangling earrings) to the thin silver chains and bracelets she owns. Fashionable, but elegant, despite her generally more tomboy-ish style.
LIKES[/blockquote]Horses, being right, music, being away from her parents, partying, cigarettes (though she's currently in the process of quitting), alcohol (preferring to be tispy, not flat out drunk), motorcycles, lilies
DISLIKESHer father, strict schedules, school, being told not to do something, people assuming that she can't ride anything but push button horses, beer, drugs (cigarettes not included), roses
STRENGTHSSurprisingly good with horses, determined, independent
WEAKNESSESRarely on time, regularly too forward, can't cook, lilies
QUIRKS AND HABITSEats sugar cubes as a replacement for smoking cigarettes currently, so she almost always has a box in her purse.
SECRETSHer father is so generous with her spending money to keep her quiet about an affair he's having.
PERSONALITYClassic rich girl. That's exactly how anyone would describe Elle, and she's perfectly okay with that. Being called a cold hearted bitch hardly phases her, she's already pretty much used to it. She's come to expect the stereotype, not because it's true but simply because she is a rich girl, and doesn't care to correct anyone that she isn't the "classic" one. She honestly doesn't care what you think of her. She's far more concerned with what she thinks of herself - the whole reason she has quit smoking, in fact. She'd never meant to get addicted, but as soon as she realized she had, she determinedly put a stop to it because she hated that image of her.
That's one thing about her that's apparent; she's stubbornly determined. You simply can't change her mind, and many have tried. If she wants to do something, by god, she'll do it, or at least try. She doesn't need your support, and if it isn't going to be sincere, she doesn't want it either. Some have made the mistake of telling her she can't do something; naturally, she went and proved them wrong. Unfortunately, this also applies to holding grudges. And trust me, this girl can hold quite the grudge. Only on fear of death might she let you go, unless it is proven you actually didn't deserve it. This attitude landed her in trouble more times than she can count, leaving her grounded in her bedroom much more often than she would have liked. Of course, that's changed now, but that's due solely to a lovely piece of blackmail.
Yeah, she can be pretty manipulative too. At least, in regards to those she doesn't like. It is her personal way of screwing with your life if you've screwed with hers. She'll sweet talk anything out of anybody if she sets her mind to it, and she's rather good and finding out all those little dirty secrets you'd rather stay hidden. She's seen to be materialistic in this regard, usually taking things like money or goods from you, but that's not entirely for the items themselves so much as the fact the transactions are quick and painless. Emotional things, of course, take far more time and require her to deal with the person more often, and she doesn't always have the patience or anger management for such a thing.
This all paints a rather bad picture of Elle so far, but she isn't truly that bad - as long as she likes you or doesn't know you. She can be a bit haughty, of course, but she tries not to rub it in that she's got way more money than she knows what to do with. She can be rather personable, although easily annoyed, and tends to like meeting new people. That's half the reason she goes clubbing with a fake id - not for the drinks, but for the music, dancing and the multitudes of new people.
When it comes to romance, though, she's really not particularly interested. With her father's affair and her own dating experiences, she's come to the conclusion that most guys won't be worth her time, and if they are, they'll prove it whether she gives them a chance or not. This rather uncaring attitude toward any sort of advances has made many a man think she plays for the other team, but it's entirely untrue. Elle is interested only in guys, preferring women as friends. She just isn't obvious about it, nor does she go after anyone, even if someone catches her eye.
Lastly, of course, there is a side to Elle that most people don't get to see, not unless they're around the barn and watching her. With horses, she's an angel, almost shy even. She's fearless of the problem horses or the "dangerous" ones, and in fact almost prefers them. She's the girl who would hopelessly stand just within reach of teeth or hooves, and trust the animal not to hurt her. Many have called her a horse whisperer of sorts, but she rolls her eyes at this. It isn't that she understands more than the next person, she's just observant enough to actually pay attention to ever slight detail that most would brush off, letting the horse show her what it wants or needs, and she responds to it accordingly. She is by no means a push over, but she tends to put up with quite a bit more than others would. She's of the opinion that quite a few horses are just looking for a reaction, particularly if they are damaged, and no reaction is by far a better course of action.

HISTORYSome could say her history isn't particularly interesting, and in all fairness it isn't. Elle was born to a rich couple, her father the owner of a large American oil company and her mother a renowned horse breeder born in France that he had met on a business trip to Europe. It was far from a whirlwind romance, the two being together a year before debating marriage. In the end, they saw no choice as Amelia had ended up pregnant with Nathaniel, Elle's older brother. The newlyweds built a large breeding barn in Florida and settled in.
Things went grand for awhile, Nathaniel growing up to be interested in horses, although not your most natural rider, and Elle coming into the picture as well. Her mother, Amelia, was perfectly happy, but Richard had begun to miss his old life. The life without other people depending on him, when he had been younger and could play around as much as he liked. He held back though, a sense of loyalty to his children at the very least keeping him from betraying his wife.
When old enough, Elle was thrown into riding lessons as well and proved to be a natural. She'd already spent every waking moment with the horses when she could, whereas her brother hadn't, so her mother was far from surprised. When she was ten she was given her first horse, a young and spirited four year old they had bred. On her first ride on the large seventeen hand horse, little Elle had been tossed right into the fence. Despite her mother's intentions to take her to the hospital for the cut that wouldn't seem to stop bleeding, Elle had struggled free and hopped right back on.
Her relationship with her first horse stayed that way, a rather dangerous one. They were perfectly matched for their determination and when stuck in a show ring, they undeniably cleaned up every time. When it came to schooling, no one would ride with them. There were constant little fights, occasional big ones. Slowly, Elle learned how to stay on through just about anything and by thirteen she was fearless, hopping on even unridden three year olds and staying on despite their best efforts. She was never mean to the horses who fought, just stubbornly persistent. Rather than punish, she simply kept asking until they gave in and then she would give back.
When she hit high school at age fourteen, she immediately joined choir and her voice was discovered. Although she personally was intent on earning her living on riding and breeding, she was constantly told that she should get a record deal. She never has, always preferring for it to be more of a hobby, singing along with the radio instead. In truth, although she doesn't care how large the crowd for a horseshow, when it comes to truly being able to see the whole crowd, she's terrified, never being much of a public speaker either.
It was her fifteenth birthday, when she was visiting her dad at the office, that she found out that he had finally slipped into an affair. It was his secretary, no less - how cliche was that? She wasn't surprised, something that shocked even her, but she realized the opportunity laid before her in an instant. Then the demands began. He gave her everything she asked for, too afraid she would tell her mother if he didn't. She wanted a car, she got one. She wanted a motorcycle as well, she got that. When she hit eighteen, she decided she wanted away from home and she found Silver Star. He paid for her own small house, gave her funds that seemed to never end, and sent her on her merry way, keeping the funds all filled up so that he doesn't have to deal with her again. And she's perfectly happy to leave him to it, though she never intended to tell her mother anyway. She never cared much for her mother, but she couldn't stand to break her dear mother's heart.
