APPEARANCEAmore is a stunning individual. He has grown to fit the general build of his lusitano sire with somewhat broad proportions that most would label as a dressage horse, but little else. He certainly doesn't look like your classic jumper, for he is solidly built and not fine and dainty. However, for taking his sire's looks, he has earned his dam's natural ability and form, with square knees and a high jump. Of course, this is hardly what makes him so stunning. No, that is more of his actual coloring. A very faded cream coat tinges his fur, a lovely cremello, with hooves that are not white, but rather a faded gray. His mane and tail are full and white, as most of his coat appears to be when in the right light. Around his joints, however, the shading is slightly darker and never looks quite white, no matter the lighting. His eyes although a bit small, are blue and vaguely unnerving unless he's relaxed with his eyelids half closed. His ears are small for his size, noticeably so, but not the the point that it looks ridiculous.
PERSONALITY[/blockquote]Named after his loving personality after birth, Amore has since outgrown his name. Gone is the little foal who would follow the stable hands around, nudging pockets for treats and shoving his head under hands for some attention. In his place stands a rather dangerous stallion who trusts no one. Many horses shy away when distrustful, but Amore is more the type to attack it head on. Many a stable hand has experienced being charged, bitten, kicked or threatened by this beast and his ears are almost always pinned back, hidden in his thick mane. It isn't his fault, of course, merely an unfortunate result of a terrible accident, but the consequences have been severe, proving just how fragile his mind was, and still is. It isn't that he's a mean horse who needs punishment, more so that he needs someone to trust, but is finding no one. He lashes out and he gets punished for it, only driving him further away from the curious and kind stallion he once was. He'll never be more than a one-person horse, and that one person is going to have to be pretty darn special to get through to him. Most people think no one ever will, even.

HISTORYAmore was born a talented, friendly colt. He was insatiably curious, always causing trouble by leaving his mother's side to check this or that out. He wasn't hard to catch, of course, for he loved human attention. Often times, the colt would stuck his nose over the stall door and bump the arm of a passing worker, trying to get one to pay attention to him. He was a favorite, never quite losing that unique little trait of his.
He grew into his form quickly, avoiding looking gangly and awkward for too long, and it quickly became clear he would be far more talented than expected. His breeders longed for the day they could see him ride around the ring, and soon enough that day came. His step was light and elegant, yet powerful. He did well in the dressage training, but he truly excelled when they began to place jumps in front of him at age four. He had a perfect form; square knees, round jump, ears always perked forward. He loved it.
He was sold to a man nearing the end of his fourth year and was moved to Silver Star. The man always pushed him too hard, but Amore always tried so hard to please him. It was a mere four months after he was bought that a four foot oxer was placed in front of him. The stallion had never seen anything so big, except for the paddock fences, of course, and had never done anything bigger than two feet before being bought. His breeders had believed in working him up slowly so as not to sour him. In these four months, it had been solely three foot jumps until now. Tired and exhausted after a long workout, but always eager to please, Amore set into it, but he stumbled.
He should have stopped, but somewhere along the line it had become a matter of not hurting this man, even if the man had cared little for the stallion. So he tried, to hopefully avoid throwing the man. He really should have stopped, for although he tucked up his knees there was no way to save this fumble. He crashed through the jump, somersaulting, though his rider came off and landed out of reach. Shaken to the core by the tumble, Amore had stayed down, shivering and shaking and desperately in need of comfort. He didn't get any.
Instead, the man forced him to stand and, despite the limp the stallion had, he tried to make him go again and get it right. Something instead Amore snapped in that moment, and suddenly he was a completely different horse. He threw the man, limping as fast as he could to the opposite end of the arena where he continued to shiver and shake. For hours, no one could get near him. He wouldn't let them. Finally, they got him back to his stall and he was treated by the vet, but he's never again trusted another soul.
