APPEARANCEFor a gelding, he has a thick, broad neck, and built body. He has a large forehead, leading to a smaller nose, and large nostrils with big dark eyes which are soft and sensitive. Small ears on top of his head, with a dapple grey coat coloring his body. His mane and tail are wavy and black. His hooves match the color of his hair. He has a couple slightly visible scars on his shoulders and hinds quarters, but nothing you can see from a distance. There is one scar, very close to his right eye that he doesn't allow anyone to touch by Dexter.
PERSONALITY[/blockquote]At birth, Pain was a strong and sound horse. He had a quick step and an energetic hop to his step. He was a sight for sore eyes, with his bright grey coat and dark, tender eyes. When he was sold to the trainer, he was broken in and trained well. But when the training turned south, the gelding turned angry, snapping at grooms and the trainer himself. When he was seized, he looked like the saddest creature in the world. He refused to eat, and refused contact with people. He was bit anyone that came near him. When he moved stables, he became aggravated and would bite at anyone that went near him. When Dexter started working with him, he was the most stubborn horse. He would take forever, trying to speed up to faster gaits and would bite Dexter if he tried touching his ears or scar near his eye. But after years with working with Dexter, he grew comfortable with Dexter and eventually took a liking to him. He was nervous when other people besides Dexter rode him, but still behaved. Pain is very sound sensitive and whip shy. He dislikes thunder storms, angry tones of voices, and the sound of a whip.
OWNER[/blockquote]Dexter Howell.
HISTORYBefore Pain was Pain, he was known as Thundercloud. The owner's mare had delivered the colt and their little girl named him. They were sweet loving people, the colt grew up on a farm that bred Andalusian. A trainer with a bad reputation bought the gelding at the young age of two. This trainer started training the horse, it started off good. They managed to train him with a saddle and a bridle. Then started on basic English and show jumping. The trainer started getting vicious when Thundercloud would refuse jumps, to the point of drawing blood. These marks left nasty scars and when Thundercloud performed poorly, he wouldn't get anything to eat. At the age of three, he was taken by a rescue, and started being cared for there.
The Wellington stable went to the resuce in search of new horses to buy. They bought three horses that day: a mare, a stallion, and Thundercloud. When they were brought back to the stable, Dexter found the gelding and immediately took a liking to him. He started working with him, getting him adjusted to a sound rider on his back. It took a couple years before they could get him to jump again, but soon enough, he eventually responded well. Daniel rode Thundercloud a lot, but the gelding didn't seem as thrilled being ridden by the owner's youngest son. So they allowed Dexter to be the official rider of Thundercloud under the Wellington name. Dexter started competing with him, and after a couple wins, he had enough money to change the horse's show name from Thundercloud to Send the Pain Below after his favorite song. He wanted to name the horse this because of the hardship the horse went through. Soon enough, he bought Pain from the Wellington, and became the official owner with Daniel as the co-owner. Now Pain runs with Dexter only.
