Why is everybody so serious?
Acting so damn mysterious?
Got your shades on your eyes
And your heels so high
That you can't even have a good time

APPEARANCEIt's obvious from the start why Hots likes attention so much, she recieved a ton of it as a filly and keeps on catching eyes as she grows. Hotspot is a beautiful bay blanket appaloosa. Her blanket covers her rump, back and most of her sides in white with bay spots shining through. A dark bay mane and tail whip like banners when this filly goes prancing by and big brown eyes just beg for attention. love and adoration. A faint very thin blaze trails lazily between her eyes and black stockings hug all four legs but it's obvious this appaloosa is an attention getter for her blanket. Standing at 15.2 hands, she's not the tallest mare around but she's thin and light on her feet with a spring in her step. She's got a perfectly shaped head and lean legs with powerful hind quarters that promise to make her a fantastic jumper.
PERSONALITY[/blockquote]Hots is a spunky, energetic filly full of potential with nowhere to go. She's harmless and playful but tends to get a bit exuberant and out of hand. It will take strong guidance and patience to bring this filly to her full potential which is where she may stall out since her current owner doesn't know what to do with a well trained horse, much less an untrained one. Still, Hots is an optomistic, loving filly that sees the best in her unlikely owner even when her owner doesn't. With Hots, she doesn't know how to be mean. Treated with kindness all her life, this filly is adoring to all and anyone that will give her a treat or pet her nose. She loves kids even when they make her girl snarl and grumble, and Hots adores peppermints. The quickest way to being her friend is to give her one of the red and white treats. Hots likes to compete but doesn't quite know what to do and needs guidance to learn. She adores motion and promises to be a strong contender in jumping and cross country events due to this excess energy.
OWNER[/blockquote]Karissa Ashley Evers
HISTORYBred by Penny Hosten on Pepper Spots Farm, American Hotspot was promising from the start. Her dam, American Saturday Night, and her sire, Can't Take the Heat, were in their prime and at the top of their game. Night was an enduring mare that flourished in cross country while Heat was a competitive stallion that was one of the finest three day eventers in the country. Raised in a loving atmosphere on the farm, Hotspot was handled from early on in her life and came to adore human contact. When her owner passed away, the other horses were sold to other appaloosa breeders while Hotspot was reserved for Penny's niece. Though Penny had never met Kris, she left Hotspot as a therapy horse of sorts. From the moment she met the girl, Hots was in love. The girl always looked angry and unhappy but she had peppermints so that meant she had to be good. And, despite her unease, the girl would always make time to pet Hots and learned to groom her so even though she didn't know much, Hots could tell she'd gotten a good mistress.
