You might forget your manners
You might refuse to stay

Luck be lady tonight

APPEARANCEStanding at sixteen hands, Lady is a mare you see when you walk in a stable. Her height isn't her only catching feature however. This lovely mare is as pretty as they come. Divided evenly between being honey gold palomino and being a stunning snowy white, Lady flaunts unique and seemingly random but elegant patches of both colors. Her mane and tail are both snowy white with only the faintest of occasional streaks of blonde through it. A white blaze carves its way down her face and dark brown eyes give this mare an eternally innocent appearance. All four of her strong long legs sport white stockings. Lady's mane always sports a neat braid just behind her left ear, a good luck charm that Tony always does for his horses.
PERSONALITY[/blockquote]For the daughter of two well known competitive rodeo horses, Sweetheart is completely unexpected. She's as sweet as a fiddle's tune, gentle as a cooing dove and as patient as a well loved grandmother. Where such a sweet temperment came from, no one knows for sure but she has it. Sweetheart is also a highly intelligent mare that knows when she's being treated right and when she's being ignored. In fact, it's not unusual for Lady to become very vocal when she feels someone isn't giving her proper attention, especially Tony. She'll never let herself be treated poorly, not if she as anything to say about it at least. Though she doesn't respond well to stressful competitive situations, Sweetheart is a perfect trail companion and can usually handle minor competitions as long as she doesn't feel the stakes are too high. Stress, however, is something she's very attuned to and responds strongly to, either to comfort a stressed human or negatively too when she feels she is being stressed. She can become aggitated if too stressed and has been known to make herself ill though this is only in the most drastic of situations.
OWNER[/blockquote]Anthony Isaac Masters
HISTORYThe third foal of a prize winning mare named Lady Luck and a well known barrel racing stallion named Too Bad Sweetheart, it was obvious from the start Lady wasn't necessarily what her breeders had wanted. They wanted the competitive, more aggressive foals that had their father's spirit for a challenge. While Lady proved to be an intelligent mare and had all the attractive qualities needed for a fine broodmare, they expected very little of her and after she reached two years old, decided to sell her. She was too gentle natured for intense competition and a new batch of fillies had provided finer specimen for future broodmares. Without the prestige of a competing resume, the future was bleak for Lady. Thankfully however, she was purchased by one Russel Masters as a training companion for horses at his farm. Lady fell under the care of Russel's son, Tony and it was a quick bond for the pair. Tony tried Lady on barrel racing and found that with the right coaxing, she was a fairly decent racer. He still competes with her on occasion but only in low level events or simple fairs and festivals. Mostly though, she is a mare used for long trail rides and afternoons with nothing better to do than kick up some dust. It suits her just fine with the easy affection of a kind master and all the exericse and mental challanges an intelligent horse could need. Tony anticipates using Sweetheart as a teaching horse for younger kids or teens from troubled backgrounds.
