OVERALLAs far as looks go, Kris will plainly say she's not much to look at. Sure she's on the taller side of average height wise but other than that, she's pretty simple. She's got enough curves to make you wonder but not enough to make the boys go wild. It suits her well enough though. The last thing she wants is interested guys simply because she's too self conscious. Her hair is usually kept long but she refuses to let it grow out past the middle of her back, usually layered and sometimes highlighted when she feels rich enough to afford it. Her eyes are dark brown and she's fairly pale. This girl doesn't tan, she burns and then goes straight back to pale. Thankfully though, she's not ghost pale. She has a bit of color but will never be a sun-bronzed beauty. As far as clothing she dresses for comfort and functionality, not fashion. An army jacket, good running shoes and her favorite pair of torn up jeans is just fine for this girl. Occasionally she'll dress it up when she's going somewhere important or to a club but typically she's just plain old her. She'll usually chose a jacket, t-shirt, tank top and bra simply because without being layered she feels vulnerable. No one will ever see Kris in a swimsuit, at least not a bikini or any shirt that shows her stomach even though she's far from fat.

PERSONALITYThe first thing anyone has to know about Kris is that she's the kind of girl that will do things on her own with no help from you thank you very much now get out of the way. She likes the challenge of figuring out things for herself and is way too stubborn to ask for help. The day Kris learns to swallow her pride is the end of the world, that much is for sure. Tough as nails from living in the poor neighborhoods of New York, Kris is convinced she can handle anything and take on anyone. Even when she's proven wrong and beaten all to hell she'll never admit she was wrong and she'll never give others the satisfaction of seeing her hurting. Kris has no brain to mouth filter and will say whatever she wants because it's a free country damn it so get over it. If she offends you, she'll just say cry me a river, build a bridge and get over it. Kris isn't very happy about living out in a small town so she refuses to get attached. She likes the horse alright but she doesn't think much of the small town frame of mind and that attitude of the people. Kris is determined to finish off college as fast as possible and get the hell out. If the horse is lucky she might take it with her if she can ever figure out what to do with it. Still, Kris knows she'll never just abandon it. She's been abandoned and knows what that feels like, how much that hurts. She wouldn't wish it on her worst enemy.

HISTORYKris will never say she came from great roots, no matter where her life goes. She knows she was born into hell and she accepts it. Her mom was two days past turning sixteen the day Kris was born, wound up thinking she was in love with a guy five years older than her. Tammy Evers thought her 'love' Jake Storrman would provide for them and be there forever. She dropped out of school and with her young daughter, ranaway from home to live in New York with Jake. Two months later, Jake couldn't take anymore of the crying, crappy apartment and inability to find a job. He packed up and left. Tammy was left alone, ashamed, with a baby, no job, no education and too much pride to go back to her parents. Tammy got mixed up in drugs and fell into whoring herself for a fix. That left Kris off to the wayside, occasionally cared for by her mother's so called friends.
When Kris was six, her mom overdosed and died. The state took her in and passed her from foster home to foster home. She didn't know anything about her mom's family and didn't even know if her mom had any family except for when her mom would get drunk and hallucinate having arguments with her parents. So, Kris went with it. She became tough, street-smart, and survived. When she was ten, she walked home with a friend only to be caught up in a shootout between two rival gangs. She was shot in the stomach and nearly died.
The foster family she was with decided they couldn't handle her anymore and sent Kris back to the state. At long last however, Henry and Laura Evers came forward to claim her, making the trip from Reno, Nevada to New York to take her home. They were her grandparents, the parents Tammy had been too ashamed to go back to. Out in the 'country' away from the city, they hoped Kris could recover from the hell her mother had dragged her through. It didn't work. Kris picked fights, got interested in guns and generally raised hell in the neighborhood where her grandparents lived. They could't control her and had no idea what to do to help her. She had no direction, no real drive, until she was seventeen and got dragged into a program for kids that needed help figuring out what to do with thier lives. She wound up paired with Susan Korbin, a CSI from Las Vegas. After a few weeks of shadowing, Kris decided to pursue a career in it.
Two months before she started classes at a college in Nevada however, she was contacted by a lawyers office saying her aunt Penny had passed away and left her something. Her grandparents were devastated, having let Kris move out two years ago so they could move in with Penny to help out, as she was struggling with cancer. Kris had never met the woman but her grandparents took her with them for the funeral to see the lawyer. It turned out Penny had left Kris a horse, American Hotspot. Her aunt had a letter saying she wanted Kris to take the filly, that she was sorry they'd never met but that she thought Hotspot would do Kris some good. Her grandparents urged her to keep the filly and learn to ride, that it would be a good hobby, something to get away from the violence they thought came with her gun handling and CSI-wannabe ambitions. Reluctantly Kris made the move to an apartment near the stable where she could keep her aunt's filly and enrolled in courses in a college nearby that had the degree she wanted.
