Fei never was big on stallions, even though she had two... well one, and the other was a colt, but still. Fei walked with her grandmother keeping a few steps behind Gray. They spoke in hushed german voices, Fei was explaining the phone call to her Oma. "That's ridiculous, I don't get her sometimes," Adele said quietly at the end of their conversation when they reached the house.
"Wow fancy crib," Fei said. She almost wanted to put 'Yo' at the end of that sentence just to lighten her mood, but decided against the corny impulsion. Instead she laughed at the joke in her mind as she looked around the big house. There were certainly a lot of boxes around. "Wow nice, not Amazing... but nice," Fei said teasingly with a hint of sarcasm. The place was impressive, she began thinking of how she'd have her house set up and realized she'd been so focused on the barn that she hadn't even thought about her house. She'd have to think of that later.
"Ooo ribs, my favorite," Fei said, following him out and pulling out a chair for her Oma and then sitting down herself. Fei tilted her head back a minute and shut her eyes, relaxing for the first time that day. Shows always were stressful, checking times, getting horses ready and braided, getting to the actual ring without being mauled or being the 'maulee'.

I like space. And apparently, builders refuse to do anything this large without some sort of fancy addition or something, I guess, I dunno. Don't really care.
He replied with a shrug, and it was completely true. After being squashed into huts and bunkers and little crevices to keep safe, small spaces bothered him, made him rather claustrophobic. Through the window he heard the angry squeak of Dante yelling at the kittens and he held up a finger, silently asking them to hold on a second. He popped up out the chair, dashing inside and scooping up the two shorthair cats, Cobra in his right hand and Casper in his left, tucking them up close to his chest as they began purring. Dante, glad to be left alone, quieted and went back to nibbling on the food in his cage.
Gray returned outside, shifted the kittens both into the crook of his left arm, keeping them out of the way as he paid attention to the ribs for a moment. He closed the barbeque up again, turning back to his guests and going back to his chair.
These are the two little brats I was taking about earlier. Their favorite game is tormenting Dante and waking me up in the middle of the night.
He scooped a hand under Casper, the little gray one, and plopped her in Fei's lap. Separate, the kittens were the sweetest things, unproblematic and cuddly. Unfortunately, as soon as they were together, they were little terrors. Every night, before going to bed, he'd been tempted to go lock them in one of the overnight cages at the vet clinic, just to keep them out of trouble. He hadn't had the heart to yet, though. Whenever he thought about it, they just sat and stared at him with though big eyes.

"Aww, how cute!" Fei exclaimed, rubbing the kitten behind the ears before she curled the cat into her arm, like you'd hold a baby, and began to wiggle her little paws and let the kitten catch her fingers. "Ow, haha you're getting claws on you little one," Fei said. Fei liked the smell of that barbeque, and her slightly bloodshot eyes began to perk as her stomach began to wake her up more and more at the smell of good food.
"So, I think you did pretty well today for being a western rider," Fei said and giggled softly, the giggle ending in an inevitable and uncontrollable yawn. Her fingers lightly massaging the kitten's head before it began to squirm. She set the kitten on the ground without thinking before she realized the time of night and snatched the kitten up again. "Are they allowed to run around outside?" Not wanting a coyote or a raccoon or even an owl to snatch up the helpless little kitten, who was squirming to get loose of Fei's hold. Fei giggled and laid the kitty down in her lap and began to tickle under it's chin, a place no cat could resist!

He replied, setting Cobra down on the ground as the kitten began to squirm. At least this way maybe they'd tire themselves out enough to sleep through the night - if he was lucky anyway. They probably wouldn't. They never seemed to stop longer than an hour or two. She was ight to worry, normally, but that was what Carmine was there for. He'd had the rottie since he was a pup, and had as such trained him rather well. It was a simple task to set the dog to watching the kittens, particularly since Cobra and Casper tended to stick together.
Carmine, watch.
He pointed towards Cobra, in the process of tumbling of the deck with a fly trying to escape her paws. The rottweiler stood up to head closer, where he could keep an eye on the kitten, while Gray went back to the barbeque. A few minutes later, he took the ribs off and brought them to the table. A few moments inside and he came out with knives, forks, plates and a small package of mixed berries.
Drinks are in the fridge if you want anything. Glasses in the cupboard next to the fridge.
