OVERALLStanding at 6'1 this guy is tall and intimidating. He has chocolate brown eyes and has a nice broad forehead-but not one of a neanderthal thank goodness. He has horrible ears, he hates them, they stick out like batty little things and wishes he could just hide them, which he does a lot with hats. He has nice tan skin and it is typically free of blemishes. He has broad shoulders and strongly built arms that he works out with every day at the gym. He's got a narrow waist and a straight back, he wears a lot of t-shirts and jeans when he isn't wearing his riding britches.

SECRETSHe was kind of forced out of LA by the LA Dressage Chapter because he 'tattled' on the old guy's son and no one would hire him because he wasn't 'trustable', which he thinks is stupid.
PERSONALITYRyder is a very intelligent person, but with his inetelligence he is also courteous enough to not force information down peoples throat. He has a way of making riding fun for people when he teaches but he also keeps it to a seriously professional level. He can explain things really well sometimes.. and other times not so much. He's just like anyone but he is really intimidating because he backs a lot of power and knowledge in the horse world. If you don't know him, you better figure out who he is quick or you better be silent and not have to worry about what you say. He's very sweet and loving to his daughter but he can be a bit suffocating to her and a bit forceful for her to ride in a professional way. His training techniques are usually very simple and kind to horses and the ones that 'aren't' so kind, you don't usually see. But those are never abusive or unprofessional, just... well, not so kind.
He seems like a normal guy with a nice personality and a happy smile that makes you feel a little less guarded. He is typically a mellow fellow with a solid base and can be unmoving when it comes to right and wrong. Overall, he's a good guy who loves horses and their well being.

HISTORYHe grew up in Germany as a Dressage rider, being the son of an olympic Dressage rider. He lived in his fathers shadow for most of his life until he made it into the young riders of Germany and took a gold medal. That was when he met Dana. She was a three day eventer from the US and it was love at first sight. They got married quick, maybe too quick and moved to the US. Ryder was shuffled threw a bunch of different barns. When he finally got settled into a nice barn in LA. But last year the owner died and left it to the very un-horse savvy grand son looking for money. He let the horses starve, the stalls go nasty and he wouldn't pay Ryder any money. Ryder stayed to take care of the horses but when Ryder walked in on the young man brutally beating one of the stallions for no reason Ryder quit and informed the local animal control. He took two of the owner's horses since they would have been either adopted out or stuck in some stall somewhere in an adoption facility. The day he went to pick up the horses to move them off the premises with his daughter Anny, Dana got in a car crash. An idiot driving too fast on the wrong side of the road forced Dana to swerve and her car tumbled into a ravine and she died later in the hospital from massive blood loss, a collapsed lung and heart failure. So Ryder has been kind of picking himself up for the past year. He has always been one of Fei's trainers and when she offered him a training position at her unofficial future barn and stables he accepted, now that is looks like it's seriously going to go threw he has moved into the town to help with management.
